As a child I never enjoyed reading. As u might have guessed this has drastically changed within the last few years. I fell in love with a YA-book called ''All the bright places'' and felt like I should share my discovery with the world. This is when my blog was born, not that I knew this at that point. I thought I was just enjoying myself and sharing my books when I found out there was an entire community that enjoyed doing these same things. It was called ''Bookstagram''.

My page kept growing and growing with every review I posted, these reviews were, and are still, the basis of Girl With A Bookshelf. When I reached a larger crowd I found myself being invited to speak about my blog during events, and recieved numerous review copies from different publishers in my home country (The Netherlands) as well as other parts of the world. It makes me happy that people find me and what I do important and fun but more than that it makes me very grateful to be an eigtheen-year-old girl building a dream.
