A monster calls, by Patrick Ness

Hii lovelies, . Todays review will be about "a monster calls" . . A monster calls is a story about a young boy called conor and how he learns to let go of his sick and dying mom by a nightmare of a monster yew tree.

. Every day at 12:07 conor gets a visit from a yew tree his mother always spoke about. At first he thinks the tree is a dream but as he wakes up strange things start showing. Like branches on his floor, just like berries a few days later. The monster is here to tell him tales he said. Special tales. And the fourth one will be told by conor himself. Cause the fourth one, is the truth. The truth is a scary thing when your mother is about to die and your feelings can be very painful to admit. Will conor do it? . before i started reading this book i didn't quite know what to expect. Cause a walking and talking yew tree sounds a bit like fantasy to me. But actually this is a really serious book and it didn't ever feel fake. Even when a walking, talking yew tree saves a queen from a castle. Writing a short piece about this book was the hardest one till now. Cause this book is so crazy beautiful that it's just something You have to read, not describe. I, myself find this book a masterpiece by mr. Ness. The story is heartbreaking but it's real. you live along with conor when reading. You even start to deny the truth yourself. I haven't experienced this much compassion when reading a book in a long time. I think everyone should read this, you really do. Because you should know, that when a book makes you speechless, it is outstanding. . The book was written by Patrick Ness and can be bought in store for €9,99 .

All the love,

E
