Hii lovelies, . Surprises can be very special sometimes, like when i opened this next book :) . Aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe is a story about finding out who you are, and who you love. The story takes place when aristotle aka ari wants to escape his boring summer break and goes to the pool. He meets dante quintana who will later learn ari how to swim and they become close friends. But as the story goes further ari sees how dante changes. Dante would sacrifice everything for ari and so would ari for him.

When i first started reading the book i expected dante to be a girl cause i didn't do any research before buying it. also the cover seemed a bit odd to me so i did not expect much from this book. But as i read it , it was a heartbreaking novel about the rough times someone goes trough exploring his sexuality not wanting to admit to himself he loves another boy and dealing with ethnic identity, friendship and family. The story takes place in the year 1987. So being gay wasn't fully accepted yet and being different was something you didn't particularly talk about. It made me see how important acceptance is in this world of us.

Although this book has an emotional topic it actually also was pretty funny here and there. And it is very, very easy to read. Short phrases and easy words is what makes the novel very nice to read for those who want to try out reading in english for the first time.
