I'll give you the sun, by Jandy Nelson

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

Hii lovelies,

I didn't plan on posting a review of this book, but i just finished it this week and it was sooooo good i could not resist making a review. . The book is called i'll give you the sun and it follows a twins. Jude (a girl) and noah (a boy) it is split in two sections of time. Everything in noah's point of view is when they were 14 and judes point of view is from when they were 16. . 14 year old noah and jude are totally different people. Noah is obsessed with drawing and pretty much draws everything he sees either in his head or on paper, he is gay as you find out through the book. Jude is a sporty girl, loves to surf and go to the beach. She kinda starts being around boys more often and going to parties and being a bit reckless. . Their parents aren't really treating them both equal. Dad loves jude more and mom is treating noah like her favorite kid. This leads to jealousy which is a big topic in the book. And then something terrible happens and that leads to noahandjude becoming noah, and jude. . Their personalities change BIG TIME trough the book and you see how grief, jealousy and love lets different people do really bad & strange things in life. This is a book mostly about love, grief, jealousy and treason. . this book is definetely one of my favorites ever. It has a lot of different topics which makes it really interesting. There also are subjects like sexuality, fate, paranormal/spirituality, like seeiing ghosts (in a good way), strong belief and it has lots of different characters and backstories. . i really liked how all characters at first seem seperate but all are included in one big story unraveling through the book. It was funny, lovely, and really sad and i must confess i cried once, twice, but probably more times. what i didnt like about it was that it had really hard words i sometimes did not understand which was a point of irritation at the beginning but as you accept you dont know some words you still understand the story really well and can read more relaxed. i just found this book so amazing and diverse! . I'll give you the sun was written by Jandy Nelson and is in store for €10,- it is a MUST READ!

all the love,

~E
