My heart and other black holes, by Jasmine Warga

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

Hii guys,  . The first book i'm reviewing again is called "My heart and other black holes" by Jasmine Warga.

. Aysel, a girl with turkish roots living in a small town is not okay. Her dad had a black slug living in his heart, which led him into prison. But when genetics don't seem to be on your side, do you still trust yourself? Aysel does not, she decides the world would be less bad without what she could cause it to be.

. Roman has a life of regret, his little sister died with him to blame. He truly believes he has to pay for that, and if you believe you took a life, is yours still worth living? He and aysel make a deal, they will end it together on april seventh. Too scared to die alone. But as they spend their last days together and connect with eachother on a heartbreaking level, will their bond keep them from taking a jump? . . My heart and other black holes is a beautiful, tear-worthy story about believing in a future, and yourself. And the changes a spark can cause. . I really loved this book, and it made me think about the fact that a story about suicide does not have to be about sadness, but can also be about guilt and fear. I really found aysels story heartbreaking and it even made me mad at some point, cause it wasn't her fault. Aysel and roman both have very different perspectives about the future and death and this made this book so interesting to read. I really recommend this book to lovers of jennifer niven's All the bright places! .

My heart and other black holes can be bought for only €3,- (e-book) and must be on your list if you are into psychological themed young adult books. . See you next week! All the love, -E
