Today i will talk to you about this amazing book i just finished! . The inexplicable logic of my life is another one of Benjamin alire Saenez's masterpieces. It tells the story of Salvador, a young teenager from El Paso who has never known his biological father. His mother died when he was young and he is adopted by his mothers best friend, who is a mexican artist and teacher. he is gay, which doesn't mind salvador but somehow it does matter to others which hurts him a lot. The biggest thing salvador has learned from his adoptive father, is that being a good person means doing no harm. And exactly that is what salvador finds himself doing, he uses his fists to let go of his anger and pain, which makes him feel like he truly is a bad person. Since salvador is growing up he gets to know his true self a little bit better every day, but how can you find your own identity if you do not know who you came from? . The inexplicable logic of my life is a beatiful book about family, friendship, death and life. But also about finding youself and being a good person. I've always loved Saenez's work and find his ability to change every subject and every meaningless sentence into a true poetic masterpiece that you'll never let go of truly fascinating. with every novel of his i read i truly believe that i become a better person and that i will take these stories with me wherever in life i go. That is the magnificent power he transports through his books, and i don't believe any other writer can do this.
