The one memory of Flora Banks, by Emily Barr

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

Hii everyone,

Today we're talking about "The one memory of Flora banks" . . Flora is a girl who suffers from amnesia, she forgets everything within a matter of hours. She uses post-its and writes everything she knows on her arms. But then she goes to a party, and kisses a boy she should not. the next day she remembers....but she can't talk to anyone. The problem is that one boy, her one memory, moves to the artic. She decides to trace her memory, and get out of her home town for the first time in her life, maybe there are more. . The one memory of flora banks is a story about lies, taking risks and believing in yoursef, freeing yourself. Flora, BE BRAVE. . I really liked the storyline of this book, but i had one problem with it. As hard as it is to say, writings about someone with amnesia can be irritating. All the repeating of everything you read over and over and over because flora keeps forgettting wasn't my thing. . . The story and plot were really good though and in some parts the story makes you as confused as flora. Turns out, when you forget what you did, people tend to betray you, you won't remember the truth anyways. I really liked the bond between flora and her brother, it was so heart-warming. The last 50 pages really pulled me in, while the rest of the book, because of the repeating writing style didn't convince me much. .

Overall i think this book is okay, nice, but not a favorite. I must say the title and cover are amazing though that was an awsome choice Emily Barr made writing this story. .

The one memory of flora banks can be bought for €10,00.let me know your thoughts on it! . .

Love you all, ~E
